P eacetree Permaculture and Edible Landscapes (PPAEL) is based in Perth, Western Australia and was established in early 2009. It is an enterprise of the Peacetree Community devoted to cultivating abundance within ecological limits.
The principal worker of PPAEL is Harry Wykman. Harry received his Permaculture Design Certificate from Living Waters Permaculture Foundation, Denmark, in 2006. His other Permaculture related qualifications include a Certificate III in Permaculture and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Harry has also studied a range of subject areas at university level and holds a double degree [BA/BSc ( hons)] from the University of Western Australia.
As for many urban dwellers, the skills of low-energy life have been a struggle to aquire and the task of doing so is an ongoing one. Harry has been engaged in this work for more than 10 years. Most of this time the struggle has been shared by the other members of the Peacetree Community, the root from which Peacetree Permaculture and Edible Landscapes has grown and without which it would not be the same.
